Zechariah 5 Revisited (The Great Deception)

Another look at Zechariah 5

The Bible has enemies and has had them since the original scribes wrote on behalf of the Holy Spirit.

As Christ said, in so many words, he had to speak in riddles, symbolism, and anecdotes (parables) because otherwise the LORD's enemies would tear it to shreds. Well guess what? They tore it to shreds anyway. (22 books removed since prior to KJV 1611 including Enoch). And what's worse, every time a group disagrees with something they "remove" it, and keep even LESS.

Most translations go with the word "roll". A couple translations go with the word "scroll". Either way the shape of this object is similar none the less.

I say:

"Waste no time debating that which ultimately does not
matter"

This is how I would casually explain this to friends.
This is what I call "Johnny's Casual Translation"

"Then he turned and
looked up in the sky and saw an object in the shape of a roll or a scroll
perhaps . This oblong object was flying across the sky. It was about 30
feet long and 15 feet wide.

Then God said this object is a CURSE he is
spreading to the whole World. Symbolically, God had written on the sides of the
roll-shaped object the actual "curse" which read

"To all those
who make oaths using God's name in vein and steal from the Earth" I will
infiltrate your homes (live in) and destroy them from the inside out."

turned, and lifted up mine eyes, and looked, and behold a flying roll. 2 And he said unto me, What seest
thou? And I answered, I see a flying roll; the length thereof is twenty cubits,
and the breadth thereof ten cubits. 3 Then said he unto me, This is the
curse that goeth forth over the face of the whole earth: for every one that
stealeth shall be cut off as on this side according to it; and every one that
sweareth shall be cut off as on that side according to it. 4 I will bring it forth, saith the
LORD of hosts, and it shall enter into the house of the thief, and into the
house of him that sweareth falsely by my name: and it shall remain in the midst
of his house, and shall consume it with the timber thereof and the stones
thereof.

1 I looked up again and saw a
flying scroll. 2 The angel asked
me, "What do you see?" "I see a flying scroll," I answered. "It's 30 feet long
and 15 feet wide." 3 Then he
said to me, "This is a curse that will go out all over the earth. The one side
of the scroll says that every thief will be forced away. The other side of the
scroll says that everyone who takes an oath will be forced away. 4 I will send out a curse, declares the LORD of Armies, and it will enter the houses of thieves and the houses of those who take oaths in my name. It will stay in their houses and destroy the timber and stone."
