This is OUTSTANDING. A new volunteer police force (ala Obama) under the hierarchy of Homeland Security, Fusion Centers and the State Police forces helping us all out.
Seems like EVERY WEEK I stumble across more and more protection for us that is hitting really close to home.
I AM THINKING MAYBE I WILL JOIN THEM!
Right there at the bottom of the web site page is a PDF application to join the force.

NO KIDDING - THAT IS REALLY NEAT
AND YOU CAN HELP YOUR COMMUNITY BY VOLUNTEERING A MINIMUM OF ONLY 12 HOURS PER MONTH (or so I was told by the VCPP officers, the pamphlet says only 6). SWEET!

I actually bumped into a couple of these officers at the store and they were really nice folks and wanted to expand the volunteer force. They were nice enough to give me a pamphlet on the specifics. This is a good opportunity for us to serve our country with pride!
As me and my fellow friends at the local wing-serving bistro would say,
